Rethinking spaces to foster new ideas

A workplace is not merely the place where daily activities are carried out. It can become a space capable of encouraging dialogue, sparking new ideas and translating an organisation’s identity into forms, materials and functions.

The collaboration between Nesea and Echo Labs grew out of the SDA Bocconi Sustainability Monitor, rooted in a shared vision of innovation, sustainability and people’s wellbeing in professional environments.

A space designed for people

The collaboration was prompted by the need to create a shared space capable of moving beyond the traditional office layout and opening up new opportunities for encounters, connection and collaboration.

Echo Labs supported Nesea throughout the design phase and then crafted bespoke furnishings, including wood panelling, custom-made pieces and a distinctive coffee table that translates Nesea’s visual identity into a physical object.

The result is a welcoming environment with a strong character, designed to accommodate both focused work and moments of informal exchange and idea sharing.

Design as an expression of corporate identity

Each element was designed to speak to the architecture of the space and to Nesea’s culture, combining functionality, design quality, customisation and attention to detail.

Furniture thus becomes an integral part of the corporate identity: not a mere complement to the space, but a tool through which values, languages and ways of interacting become recognisable.

The project developed for Nesea reflects a different approach to workplace design: starting from people, relationships and the organisation’s identity to create environments that can evolve alongside it.
